About us

Back in 2001, Andreas Rieser already had the basic idea to digitalize horsebacks with available 3D scanning technology. The idea behind this approach was to monitor and document alterations of a horseback. Due to the high costs for eligible measuring systems this task could not be realized until 2003. Missing mobility and high investment costs prevented this product to be developed for the horse industry.

From 2003 through 2009 the issue of saddle fitting could not be addressed with a satisfying result. Based on this motivation Andreas Rieser started developing a mechanical measuring method in order to solve the problems of mobility and saddle fitting.

Encouraged by the dropping prices of optical measuring systems in 2010, the Horseshape team continued developing the idea dating back to 2001. With the HORSESHAPE ScanKit being the first mobile 3D scanner for horsebacks, they revolutionize the international equitation market.
